Booking.com Demand API adapter
Nodes Travels ships a client for the Booking.com Demand API covering hotels, cars and the order lifecycle. Booking.com only grants access to approved affiliate partners, so this one starts with an application.
What the code does
The adapter targets Demand API version 3.3 by default (3.2 and 3.1 can be selected). It searches hotel and car availability and maps results into the platform's hotel and car formats.
A separate order module covers preview, create, details, modify and cancel. Because creating an order in production makes a real reservation and charges a real card, it has two guards: the environment defaults to sandbox, and production orders additionally need an explicit allow flag. Card details are passed to Booking.com and are never logged or stored by the platform.
- Hotel and car availability search
- Order preview, create, details, modify and cancel
- Sandbox by default; production orders need a second switch
- Booker country setting for pricing and availability
- Status badge and on/off switch in Admin → Suppliers

The source also contains a RapidAPI channel (booking-com15) for hotels and cars, keyed by RAPIDAPI_KEY. It is an unofficial third-party channel, not a Booking.com product, so check its terms and reliability yourself before using it for real sales.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get Demand API access?
Apply through Booking.com's affiliate and Demand API programme. Approval is selective and is Booking.com's decision; we cannot apply on your behalf.
Can I test before approval?
Not against Booking.com itself; the sandbox also needs partner credentials. Without them the adapter reports 'not configured' and the registry falls back to the next hotel supplier.
Does it cover cars too?
Yes. The same credentials power the car rental search adapter.
Planning a Booking.com setup?
