UPI straight to your own account

Customers pay your own UPI ID by QR code or UPI app, with no gateway in between. It is live on Eazy My Trip and is the default for Indian customers there.

How a UPI payment works

  1. 1

    Payment sheet

    Checkout shows a QR code, buttons that open UPI apps, and your UPI ID to copy, with the exact amount and booking reference filled in.

  2. 2

    Customer submits the UTR

    After paying, the customer enters the 12-digit UTR. Duplicate UTRs are rejected and each booking accepts one claim.

  3. 3

    Desk verifies

    Your team checks the credit in your bank or UPI app and marks the booking paid in admin, where the UTR is shown ready to copy.

  4. 4

    Optional auto-confirm

    With SMS forwarding set up, each booking gets a unique amount down to the paise, and the bank's credit SMS confirms it automatically.

Environment variables

UPI_VPA=yourbusiness@bank
UPI_PAYEE_NAME=Your Business Name
# optional SMS auto-confirm
UPI_ALERT_SECRET=... # shared secret the forwarder sends
UPI_ALERT_SENDERS=AXISBK      # comma-separated trusted bank sender ids
UPI_ALERT_ACCOUNT_LAST4=1234 # SMS must mention this account

Safeguards in the code

  • Unique payable amount per open booking so one credit matches one booking
  • Matching only within 48 hours of the booking being opened
  • Sender allowlist and account check fail closed
  • Secret sent in a request header, compared in constant time
  • Razorpay bookings can never be claimed through the UPI flow
