PayPal Standard Checkout and Card Fields

PayPal is live on Eazy My Trip for international customers. The server creates and captures every order, so the amount and currency are always verified on your side.

What the adapter does

PayPal buttons

Pay with PayPal and Debit or Credit Card buttons from PayPal's JavaScript SDK, with a redirect fallback if the buttons cannot load.

Server-side capture

The server creates the order and, on approval, captures it and checks the amount and currency before the booking is marked paid.

On-page Card Fields

Card number, expiry and CVV in PayPal-hosted fields; card data goes from the browser to PayPal and never touches your server or database.

3-D Secure

Authentication runs when required; a failed authentication is never captured.

Going live

  1. 1

    Create a PayPal Business account

Then create an app in PayPal's developer dashboard and copy the Live client id and secret.

  2. 2

    Add keys

Paste them in Admin → Payments, or set them as hosting environment variables and rebuild for the public client id.

  3. 3

    Test in sandbox first

Leave PAYPAL_MODE empty to use sandbox credentials and run a full checkout.

  4. 4

    Order gateways per market

Set where PayPal appears in the gateway order for each market in Admin → Payments.

Frequently asked questions

Does card data pass through my server?

No. With Card Fields the inputs are PayPal-hosted iframes; your server only creates and captures orders.

Can I charge in INR through PayPal?

The adapter converts INR totals to USD for PayPal. Domestic Indian customers are usually better served by UPI or an Indian gateway.

What happens if PayPal is down?

Gateway failover tries the next configured gateway, and repeated failures pause PayPal for a few minutes automatically.
